30 Dec 11 - I have just finished this Elapor foam model, which appealed to me as it can be flown on the slope as a glider or a flat field with electric power.  It only takes a few seconds to convert from glider mode to electric mode or vice versa.  Conversion is simple a matter of removing the hatch, unplugging the motor leads, folding the model to allow the motor pod to be removed and then locking the model in the flight position with the alternate hatch.  The motor battery and speed controller from the electric mode are retained to power the radio gear when in glider mode.  The tail fins also neatly unplug for transport (photo 3).  A custom bag is also available to fit it all in (photo 4); there is a pocket at the bottom of the bag where the motor pod, hatches and fins can be stored.
